Parlo Translator Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 29, 2026
Last Updated: September 29, 2026

Welcome to Parlo Translator. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are between you and Fuzhou Chengfei Network Technology Co., Ltd. (“we” or “us”) and govern your download, installation, and use of Parlo Translator and its related features (the “App”). Please read these Terms before using the App.

Service Content

The App provides text translation, voice translation, camera translation, and text playback and copying. It also includes PET Vocabulary, which lets you browse words by category, and Word of the Day. Available features may vary by App version, device, language, network connection, and the availability of supporting services.

Translations, speech recognition, text recognized from images, pronunciations, and vocabulary materials are provided for general reference and learning. They may contain errors or may not preserve the full meaning, context, tone, or formatting of the original content. You should independently check information before relying on it for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other important decisions. The App is not an emergency communication service.

Eligibility and License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and applicable law, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the applicable App Store usage rules.

Unless permitted by applicable law or authorized by us in writing, you may not:

Content and Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for the text, recordings, photos, and other content you choose to submit, translate, copy, or use through the App. You must have the rights and permissions needed to process that content, including permission from other people when you record their speech or submit information about them, as required by law. You must respect applicable privacy, intellectual-property, and other laws.

You should review content before submitting it for translation, especially if it includes personal or confidential information. Check translated results before copying, sharing, speaking, or otherwise using them. We do not endorse or independently verify user-submitted content or the accuracy of every translation result.

Device Permissions and Information Processing

The App may request microphone access for voice and conversation translation, camera access for capturing text to translate. Speech-recognition permission may also be requested when the feature requires it. You can manage applicable permissions in your device settings; denying a permission may prevent the corresponding feature from working.

Translation and speech features may require content to be processed by external service providers. The categories of content involved, recipients, purposes, and applicable choices are described in our Parlo Translator Privacy Policy. Device permission and any separate consent required for transmitting content to an external provider are distinct. Use of the App does not replace a consent step required by applicable law or the App’s actual implementation.

When you choose to copy text, it is placed on your device’s clipboard. Your use of that text in another app is subject to the other app’s terms and privacy practices.

Third-Party Services

Some features depend on translation, speech recognition, text-to-speech, hosting, or other third-party services. Their availability and performance may vary or be interrupted. Where a third party independently provides a service, its own terms and privacy policy may also apply. We do not control external services or guarantee their uninterrupted operation, accuracy, or security. Details of providers that receive information from the App should be read together with the Parlo Translator Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

The App’s software, interface, name, logo, documentation, vocabulary materials, and other materials supplied by us or our licensors are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license in these Terms, you receive no ownership rights in those materials.

You retain any rights you have in the content you submit. You give us and the service providers needed to fulfill your request a limited, non-exclusive right to process that content solely to provide and operate the feature you choose, subject to the Parlo Translator Privacy Policy. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your content to us. Rights in third-party source material and translated output may depend on applicable law and the rights of the original content owner.

Service Changes and Interruptions

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal compliance, changes to supporting services, or product development. We will provide notice where applicable law requires it. Network failures, device limitations, and third-party service interruptions may affect the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Ending Your Use

You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time. If you breach these Terms or applicable law, we may limit or terminate your license to use the App to the extent permitted by law. Ending use does not automatically erase information previously sent to external providers; retention and deletion are addressed in the Parlo Translator Privacy Policy.

Updates to These Terms

We may revise these Terms when features, service providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice where required by law. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you may stop using and uninstall the App. Your continued use after revised Terms take effect signifies acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
